Requirements
They wanted to build a common
platform to bring buyers and sellers together to create an online marketplace
for semiconductor components. The goal was to create a subscription based,
scalable e-commerce solution for stockiest and end-users across the globe and
able to do business online.They needed a solution where they have
administrative controls over functions such as manage subscribers, contents,
generate reports.They wanted this portal in multiple languages and also able
to integrate offline payments

Approach
Based on the client’s requirements our development team created a blueprint
for a scalable and robust e-commerce subscription based portal.
Our biggest challenge was in gathering the information that was
available in varied formats and compiling in one singular format for
online presentation. For instance there were few sellers who had component
stock in CSV file, tab separated values, form based inputs etc.
So we had to provide different ways to accept input from these sellers.Next the

facilitate the sellers to post their offers and buyers to
post their requirements and some kind of automated system that can match these.
We built the fully automated matching technology system that enabled the
sellers to broadcast the offers and buyers to broadcast the requirements and
system automated the matching of offer against requirements and informed the
subscriber by e-mail.Our next challenge was allowing the different levels of
subscribers in order to increase the subscriber base. We proposed the single
entry system for creation of subscribers. The level of access that each subscriber
has depends upon his subscription type. For instance a free subscriber can try
out the free links before opting for paid subscription.
Admin interface was created to manage the subscribers. Since the
payment method was offline, in the form of cheque or draft,
subscribers are enabled after full payment is received.
